As the Holidays approach, the members and staff of the West Goshen Police Department would like to ask you for your assistance in helping those in our community who may be struggling or suffering for whatever reason this holiday season.

For many years, the West Goshen Township Police Department has teamed up with our community partners the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County and the Crime Victims' Center of Chester County to help make the Holidays a little more enjoyable. In fact every year on Christmas eve, Santa is escorted by the police to hand out Christmas presents, it is truly an enjoyable experience for all involved.

In addition to helping Santa, we collect gift cards and monetary donations to be used not just at the holidays but throughout the year to help buy food, clothes and emergency lodging.

This year, we are once again teaming up with numerous Law enforcement agencies from all around Chester County to collect donations for these two great organizations. It’s called “Operation Blue Santa”

We are asking that if you can, you make a small monetary or gift card donation. All you have to do is stop in any of the participating Police Departments and leave your donation with dispatch or an Officer. We will split the donations between the two organizations and hand deliver them. Items that are acceptable are gift cards to any area store. Such as Target, Walmart, grocery stores, visa gift cards or cash.

We will have a list of other agencies up shortly. Please like and share this post to help us reach as many of Santa's helpers (you) as possible.
