Fun in the Sun with the Summer Recreation Program, Summer Teen Program and Afternoon Sports Clinics!

Open Registration begins on Monday, May 16th   
for families residing outside of West Goshen.
Registration will be held at the West Goshen Township 
Administrative Building located at 1025 Paoli Pike.

The West Goshen Park and Recreation Department is happy to offer the following youth summer programs!

1. Summer Recreation Program:  Ages five to twelve – Barker, Coopersmith and WG Community Parks
2. Afternoon Sports Clinics – Ages Five to Twelve – WG Community Park, Lambert Park and Ice Line
3. Summer Teen Program: Ages Thirteen to Fifteen – Robert Lambert Park

Summer Recreation Program
 June 21st through August 12th  
9 am through 12 noon
Ages Five through Twelve

Children between the ages of five and twelve are invited to join us outdoors for lots of supervised fun with our Summer Recreation Program! Our program offers an enjoyable combination of structured outdoor activities and free play in a safe and fun environment supervised by our adult counselors.  The program is held weekday mornings between 9 am and 12 noon at Barker Park, Coopersmith Park and West Goshen Community Park. The program beginning on Tuesday, June 21st and concluding on Friday, August 12th. Participants will have opportunities to play sports and games, enjoy the playground and explore nature while having the opportunity to make crafts and to attend field trips. Come out and enjoy the summer with us!

Families may choose to register their child(ren) at either Barker Park, Coopersmith Park or West Goshen Community Park as space permits. The program fee for West Goshen families continues to be $200 for the first child, $350 for two children, and $100 per additional sibling for the eight-week program. West Goshen residents are able to register children for both the Summer Recreation Program and the Summer Teen Program while taking advantage of the discounted rate structure. Proof of residency must be provided (e.g. drivers’ license, sewer bill, address on check) to be eligible for resident rates. The registration fee for our neighboring municipalities continues to be $300 per participant. Only personal checks or cash will be accepted. Children are to be five years old by September 1, 2022 to register for the Summer Recreation Program and should be comfortable participating in a group environment. Registration is for the entire eight-week program. The Summer Recreation Program will not be held on Monday, June 20th and Monday, July 4th.  


Afternoon Sports Clinics 
One Afternoon a Week for Seven Weeks
June 27th – August 11th 
1:30 through 3:00 pm
Ages Five through Twelve

Afternoon Sports Clinics offer introductory level instruction in a variety of popular outdoor activities. Each clinic is supervised by adult instructors who introduce participants to the wonderful world of sports through the teaching of basic fundamentals of the activity while encouraging teamwork, healthy exercise and fun. Our afternoon sports clinics begin the week of June 27th and will continue seven weeks through August 11th meeting one afternoon per week between 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm. Children between the ages of five and twelve are invited to learn the skills, positions and rules of a new sport while enjoying the social and health benefits of being physically active in a team environment!  

The majority of the clinics listed below will take place at West Goshen Community Park. Skateboarding will be held at the skatepark located at Robert Lambert Park. Sports equipment will be provided for every clinic at Community Park however participants are welcome to bring their own (e.g. lacrosse stick, tennis racquet). Participants in our skateboarding clinic are required to provide their own equipment including a skateboard, helmet, and knee / elbow pads.

Tuesdays: 1:30 – 3:00 PM
Soccer (ages 5 – 8) *WG Community Park

Thursdays:  1:30 – 3:00 PM
Basketball (ages 8 - 11) * WG Community Park
Lacrosse (ages 6 – 10) * WG Community Park
Tee – Ball (ages 5 – 8) *WG Community Park

Registration will be held on Saturday, May 4th (8 – 11 AM) and Saturday, May 11th (9 – 11 AM) at the West Goshen Township Administration Building. Beginning on Monday, May 16th families may register during normal business hours. Registration fee is $60 per sport for West Goshen residents and $75 per sport for children living outside of West Goshen. Our ice hockey clinic has an additional $35 fee for ice rink time.

Summer Teen Program
June 21st through August 12th  
Lambert E. Lambert Park  
Ages Thirteen through Fifteen

Too old to hang with the younger kids and not quite ready for summer employment, teens between the ages of thirteen and fifteen have a program of their very own specializing in sports, games, special events and field trips supervised by adult counselors.

Our super popular Summer Teen Program will continue to be facilitated out of the Teen Clubhouse located at Robert Lambert Park! Located in the north western corner of West Goshen Township on Pottstown Pike the Teen Clubhouse offers participants a permanent indoor facility to call their own complete with a ping – pong table, a foosball table, art supplies, board games, video games and more! Teens will also enjoy the various outdoor facilities of Lambert Park including sports fields (e.g. baseball, soccer and lacrosse), tennis courts, and our popular skatepark.  

In addition to enjoying daily sports, games and activities at Lambert Park, teens will participate in community service projects and go on weekly field trip adventures including amusement and waterpark visits. Participants between the ages of thirteen and fifteen are welcome to join the fun! The popular eight – week program will be in session June 21st through August 12th running weekday mornings between 9AM and 12 Noon. Some field trips and community service projects will run past noon.
