Ingrid is a four year old rough collie. She was re-homed to her owner in August of 2019. Once her medical situations were in order, she began training to become a therapy dog. After a delay due to Covid, she completed her training and earned her Therapy certification this past April. She possesses five certifications in all, two of which are American Kennel Club Awards. Since April of 2021 Ingrid has been doing volunteer visits around the county to such places at West Chester East High School, Camilla Hall, St. Martha's Manor, Immaculata University, West Chester University, Fugett Middle School, Good Fellowship Ambulance, Downingtown Library and many more. She has made over 120 volunteer visits around the County since earning her Therapy certificate in April. Most recently, (Monday November 15, 2021), the Daily Local ran a front page article about her and the positive impact she has had throughout the area indicating her as "the most famous dog in Chester County". (The story is also on their website). Currently she is a sponsor for the West Goshen Can Do Thanksgiving Food Drive with all donations benefiting the West Chester Food Cupboard.
