Lilly is a Maltese rescue dog from an Amish puppy mill in Ohio. The puppy mill dropped her off at a veterinary office in Ohio to be euthanized because she had liver shunt and was not a money maker. The vet technician could not euthanize her and called a rescue that drove 2 hours to get her and her owners drove 6 hours from PA to OH to get her. Lilly had to overcome a lot of obstacles in her life (liver shunt; major surgery; died 3 times on the operating table; abuse; 4 homes before she got her forever home with us), but she wakes up every day happy to be alive and help make other people happy. When her owners went to rescue her they found out that she was born on the same day that they had lost their other Maltese of 15 years and they knew she was meant to be theirs. Lilly is here for a purpose and her owners finally figured it was to make other people happy and feel good about themselves which brought Lilly to love everyone.
