The West Goshen Police Department presented its annual awards to officers and citizens at the township meeting last night. We are proud to recognize the following:
- Officer Scott Myers received the Departmental Service Award. This award recognized his tireless efforts to engage the community with events like the Junior Gumshoe Camp and Trunk or Treat.
- Alex Adames and Sierra Fritz received the Citizens Award for their life-saving efforts of a child that was drowning.
- Shaun Dzielawa, a West Chester school teacher, received the Citizens Award for her extraordinary volunteer work with the Junior Gumshoes Camp.
- Officer Andrew Manko received the Award for Merit for his exceptional handling of a suicidal person this past summer.
- Officer Steve Hiro, Detective Robert Edwards, and Officer Andrew Manko received a Unit Commendation for the teamwork they displayed during an emergency response that resulted in saving a human life.
