Dear West Goshen Residents & Business Owners,
On behalf of the Board of Supervisors, I am writing to encourage you to participate in an upcoming joint workshop with the Township Board of Supervisors and the West Goshen Sewer Authority Board members. The workshop will be held in-person on September 7th, starting at 6 pm in the main meeting room at the Township Administration building.
The workshop will feature a presentation by the Sewer Authority Consulting Engineer and the Treatment Plant Superintendent on the major capital investments made over the recent 6-year period (2016 to 2021) to improve the sewer system safety, operational reliability and process performance. The Authority will then present a forward looking 10-year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) to continue addressing deficiencies in our aging sewer assets. The CIP funding requirements for the Authority through 2031 will be discussed and debated in the joint meeting with the Supervisors, including the impact of the new CIP on potential sewer fee increases.
We encourage you to attend the workshop to learn about the sewer system and join in the discussion about this critical part of our Township infrastructure. Both the Sewer Authority Board and Township Supervisors want to hear from residents and business owners. We value your input on the topic. The agenda and meeting materials will be posted on the Township website the Friday before the meeting. If you are unable to attend and have comments or questions, please email them to Casey Lalonde, Township Manager at clalonde@westgoshen.org. Casey will distribute them to the appropriate Board members for consideration and response at the public meeting.
Best regards,
Shaun Walsh
Chair, Board of Supervisors
