The Park and Recreation Department is now accepting applications for Summer Counselors!
The repair of the Matlack Street Culvert is underway. This will be a rehabilitation of the pipe and will be significantly less expensive than the original culvert replacement that was projected. This project is being completed by National Gunite. Information on the completed project will be provided in a future edition of the Township’s eNewsletter.
The Township also recently completed a similar rehabilitation project on Locksley Road. This was a 48-inch pipe that was rehabilitated using the same technology that is being used for the Matlack Street Culvert project. Please see pictures below of the before and after conditions. The Township will be looking to utilize this where possible for future applications.
The Township also recently completed a review of the corrugated metal pipe televising and cleaning that was undertaken. This analysis was used to determine the condition of the pipe and outline potential projects. The Township is currently working with Carroll Engineering to outline specific replacement projects. The Township also recently completed a Regional Stormwater Feasibility Study that is available on the Township website. A link is available in an earlier story. Additionally, the Township is continuing to complete design work for projects outlined in our Pollution Reduction Plan approved by the PA Department of Environmental Protection. These projects are being funded through the funds received through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. Please watch the West Goshen Township website for additional information.
