West Goshen Police Department Officer and Citizen Awards Recognition


The West Goshen Police Department presented its annual awards to officers and citizens at the township meeting last night. We are proud to recognize the following:

  • Officer Scott Myers received the Departmental Service Award. This award recognized his tireless efforts to engage the community with events like the Junior Gumshoe Camp and Trunk or Treat.
  • Alex Adames and Sierra Fritz received the Citizens Award for their life-saving efforts of a child that was drowning. 
  • Shaun Dzielawa, a West Chester school teacher, received the Citizens Award for her extraordinary volunteer work with the Junior Gumshoes Camp.
  • Officer Andrew Manko received the Award for Merit for his exceptional handling of a suicidal person this past summer.
  • Officer Steve Hiro, Detective Robert Edwards, and Officer Andrew Manko received a Unit Commendation for the teamwork they displayed during an emergency response that resulted in saving a human life.
